Projection: need to automatically qualify

North Florida’s body of work is defined by a brutal nonconference road tour against Florida, Tennessee, Gonzaga, Dayton and Miami that produced lopsided defeats and left little in the way of signature wins, while the few competitive outings against Wofford, Southern Miss, Prairie View, Columbia and Lipscomb were close defeats rather than resume builders. The lone clear highlight is a road victory at North Alabama, and although the offense has shown some life at times the team’s defensive inconsistencies have translated into too many high‑allowance losses to convince a committee. With no marquee neutral or home triumph to offset those bad results the only realistic path to the NCAA tournament runs through success inside the Atlantic Sun, so the remaining slate of league games and the conference tournament represent the team’s last meaningful opportunities to change its standing.
